Senior Merchandiser, London


THE DESCRIPTION

Reporting into the Managing Director, the Senior Merchandiser will be directly responsible for the merchandising function of the business, ensuring there is appropriate and efficient levels of stock in the right location to support the sales and margin goals of the business. The Senior Merchandiser will be supported by an Assistant Merchandiser. The position is full time.



ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with the MD to develop a strategic and operational plan to develop and lead the merchandising function within the business.
  • Direct responsibility for stock in the business, including the liquidation of terminal stock.
  • Management and implementation of replenishment processes on classic lines, optimising stock holding to minimise missed sales opportunities .
  • Working with the Supply Chain Director in the effective planning of production and manufacturing.
  • Management of intake margin to meet company budgets.
  • Working closely with the retail team to build markdown strategies that maximise the turnover opportunity, balanced with the wider company margin and stock holding goals.
  • Build and maintain reporting packs to provide overview and performance updates to the senior management team.
  • Work closely with design, retail and production to range build and to develop product to achieve sales and profit targets.

  • Key Internal relationships with MD, CFO, Creative Director, Production Manager and Retail Store Managers.



    QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience at Senior Merchandiser level in a similar sized business.
  • An excellent planner with great organisational skills to ensure tight deadlines are met.
  • An articulate, effective communicator with an ability to deal diplomatically and build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Able to demonstrate a creative, innovative approach to problems.
  • Keenly interested in multi-channel retailing, and are challenged and motivated by a fast-paced role.
  • Able to multi-task and problem solve across a varied role.
  • Extensive Microsoft Excel skills and proficient at working with data to problem solve.
  • Experienced in managing a team.
  • SAP experience preferable.

    Assistant Merchandiser, London


    THE DESCRIPTION

    Reporting into the Senior Merchandiser, the Assistant Merchandiser role is to provide administrative support to the merchandising function, ensuring there is efficient levels of stock in the right location to support the sales and margin goals of the business. The position is full time.



    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare weekly reports on performance at store level highlighting sales trends, sell-throughs and category performances.
  • Tracking PO’s to ensure stock is delivered on time to meet launch dates and marketing initiatives.
  • Liaise with the retail stores on a daily basis to ensure missed stock opportunities are addressed.
  • Input sales orders in SAP to reflect forward stock needs (seasonal and classic) across all channels.
  • Analyse and present best sellers, worst sellers and lessons learnt information.
  • Support stores with transaction information e.g. price corrections, bar codes and packaging.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Senior Merchandiser.

    Management Accounts Assistant, London


    THE DESCRIPTION

    Based in our Head Office in London, we are looking for a motivated individual to work within a compact Finance team to support the Financial Controller. The position is available with immediate start and is full time.



    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the Purchase Ledger function – being the first point of contact for escalated queries.
  • Reconciling some aspects of stock.
  • Liaising with the factories with any queries.
  • Reconciling GRNI.
  • Reconciling CIT and making adjustments as required.
  • P&L analysis.
  • Reconciling and preparing the quarterly VAT return and supervising the foreign VAT returns.
  • Assisting with Management Accounts preparation monthly and annually for audit.
  • Preparing accruals and wholesale sales and COGS analysis.
  • Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Updating daily balances from the bank.
  • Maintaining banking records on SAP and the bank and setting up payments.
  • Assisting the team as and when required to meet deadlines.


  • QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A starter in studying ACCA or CIMA with a relevant degree is essential. Successful candidates would have worked in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years.


  • PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Experience of working in retail/FMCG/manufacturing beneficial.
  • Knowledge of SAP experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to produce accurate results whilst working under pressure and against tight timescales.
  • Good communication skills and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to assist and work alongside other departments.
  • Excel experience essential.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Based in our Head Office in London, we are looking for a motivated individual to work within a compact IT support team to manage all 1st line IT support calls. The position is available with immediate start.



    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage by phone or email all IT incidents or requests for assistance in relation to current IT services or process.
  • Direct and escalate support calls to 2nd/3rd line level as and when required.
  • Administer and maintain the IT Service Desk support call logging system
  • Oversee and maintain corporate backup and anti-virus solutions from Head Office
  • End-to-end management Office 365 across the business
  • Consolidate, upgrade and manage all physical servers across business
  • Monitoring of internal server side event logs inc. changes and/or potential disruptions to normal service
  • Update PCs and servers throughout business with latest Microsoft updates and patches
  • Assist line manager with rolling out all IT change processes throughout business
  • Manage Meraki firewalls and routers through business
  • Managing corporate local and network printing infrastructure inc. ordering spares and consumables
  • Create and manage an IT procurement standard to be used for all new starters/replacement equipment
  • Setup new user machines as necessary, inc. hardware configuration, network configuration and Office 365 setup
  • Assist 2nd line support incidents as required
  • First point of contact for 3rd party suppliers


  • QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    Any recognised academic, technical or professional IT accreditation would be an advantage, but not essential. Successful candidates would have worked in a similar support role for a minimum of 2.5 years



    PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Experience in Ethernet environments using Active Directory, TCP/IP and DNS
  • Familiarity of LAN/WAN/VPN network infrastructure including testing (ping, tracert)
  • Experience in managing Meraki routers and firewalls
  • Knowledge of remote desktop & Citrix
  • Experience in creating and working with virtual servers (Hypervisor, EXSI)
  • Experience working with FTP & EDI
  • Ability to produce accurate results whilst working under pressure and against tight timescales
  • Knowledge and experience of working in Microsoft Server/Desktop and Apple Mac environments
  • Comprehension and understanding of Microsoft SQL server 2005/2008/2012 relational database structures
  • IT experience in working within a retail environment would be a distinct advantage
  • Good communication skill and enthusiasm
  • Ability to assist and work alongside other departments
  • MS Office knowledge essential
  • Experience in working with both Windows and Mac environments

  • REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of luxury store sales experience (required) in menswear.
  • Experience with Made to Measure and/or Bespoke.
  • Experience with Teamwork or a similar POS system is preferable.
