The Heir And The Hero

Prepare for a wild ride - we return to 1970s Monte Carlo for spring/summer '17, inspired by the antics and heroism of Grand Prix victors of the day. We recall both the lovable rogues and daredevil drivers of Formula 1; the fearless adventurers who would turn up to the track in a Rolls-Royce Corniche laden with attractive women and enough champagne to sink a battleship.

Resembling a sun-faded Polaroid of the racing car world, the collection explores the juxtaposition between the hard graphic lines of the sport and the soft, relaxed ambience associated with summer.

The collection’s traditional navy and soft grey base colours are complemented by a blazing spectrum of aquatic, pastel and ashy shades.

The collection simultaneously caters for the discerning classicist and the flamboyant eccentric through a strong focus on fabric, blending silk, linen and cotton alongside lightweight wools. Influenced by various art movements of the 70s, exquisite new neckties and pocket squares arouse an essence of speed through the use of print and pattern.

The collection is an ode to the more audacious side of the motor racing world.
